The Sims 2 Legacy

Feb41:20 am

Not in a long time have I been totally addicted to a computer game than I currently am to The Sims 2. I have only had it for a week but but it seems like forever.

Anyway, today when looking round the official site I cam across people talking about the legacy challenge. What is this I heard myself ask myself (the answers I get are far more intelligent than asking someone else). I had a look for more information but got bored after a few minutes and googled it instead.

the ever great wikipedia have this to say on it.

I am using all the willpower I have to not go and attempt this. Building a house up without using the money cheat may be interesting but to go on for 10 generations may become a tiny bit boring…

I am trying to talk myself out of it… its not working… damn, I am so gonna fail my degree. I wonder if I can sue Maxis if I do?

Just when i’m trying to quit…

Oct184:14 pm

…My ebay addiction, what do those lovely people over at nectar go and do? Only bloody make it so that if you buy something on “Buy It Now” you earn nectar points…tut!

I’m a student! I can’t afford to spend ALL my money on things I don’t *really* need from eBay…

EBay aren’t the only ones to jump on the nectar bandwagon though. Worryingly (for me) ITunes (among others) have also got involved. Which could also be dangerous to my bank balance. Go have a look.

*please note* by clicking on the above link you accept full responsibility for anything you may purchase there on after. I can’t control my own spending so am not even going to try controlling anyone else’s.

New Toy!

Aug1712:00 am

I have been a naughty little girl today. I have been wanting a new mobile phone for a while now and originally wanted a pink Samsung one (can’t remember the model). Apart from looking nice it didnt have much different to my current mobile.

However, I started having a browse and fell in love with the Nokia 6230i. The only thing now is I have to wait a whole 48 hours for delivery…gah!!!! But it was a very good deal, better than any high street price so will be worth it.

I have already been on eBay and got myself some headphones for the mp3 player, a data cable and a new fascia.

Am quite looking forward to using a Nokia again My Motorola is OK but I still prefer my Nokia 3310 to the phone I have now.

U2 = Amazing

Jun1612:30 pm

Went to see U2 at Manchester yesterday. Needless to say it was an amazing show. At one point Bono was about 4 foot away from me… We got quite a good spot!

The supports were good too. They were Idlewild and Athlete. Although everyone seemed to be getting bored woth them and were just wanting to get U2 on stage. The lead of Idlewild actually commented that it was hard to open for someone as big as U2 as no one cares about hearing them.

It started at around 6pm (slightly late as it was meant to start at 5.30pm) and didnt finish until about 10.45pm! so was well worth it. Although the equipment changes were a bit teadious.

We didn’t get home till gone 3am due to a traffic jam on the M52 M62 (thanks Paul!). The martians had been out and deposited thousands of cones down it making it into just 1 lane presumably to start road works today.

This would probably have been fine on any other night but the thousands of cars coming away from Manchester were just too much for it.

We stopped at a services on the way home mainly due to my sister needing a walk around to try and beat the tiredness and the place seemed to be over run with U2′ers doing exactly the same thing. The half dead, stiff legged U2 T-shirted seemed to out number anyone else, me being one of them.

I just wish I didnt have to go to work in an hour :(

Fringe

Jun1010:56 pm

We ordered a fringe guide ages ago and I have been anticipating the arrival ever since. Its like getting your wage slip a week before payday, almost as good as actually getting paid.

It came today! Woohoo! We have already booked tickets to go and see the yogurt lover and there are loads more that look like they could be good. It will be hard choosing!

Bryan

May1212:53 am

Just back from Seeing the fantastic Bryan Adams at the NEC in Birmingham.

I have danced, sang, shouted and whistled my heart out. We were right near the front.

If anything I would say he was better than Kylie was, which is something as:
1: I love her and
2: She put ona fantastic show too

But Bryan was just… wow…

I have taken loads of pictures and a few video clips which I will have a better look at after I have slept!

You can see this one for the moment though…

Guess What…

May311:01 pm

…so, you know how a few weeks ago I posted that message saying that if I mentioned Edinburgh you were to inflict pain on me?

Well… no longer do I have to hold my tongue, because…

I’M GOING!!!!!!

From the 3rd-8th August me and my sister are going up. We are doing it on a budget and are staying in a youth hostel which will be an experience. Have done it before in Dublin and it wasn’t too bad, afterall its only for sleeping in.

We are flying up. I found it really funny (honestly I was in stitches) when on the easyjet website the outbound flight was only £3.49! Return is more expensive – a wopping (not) £16.99 but this is just so we have decent departure times. The prices work out about the same, if not cheaper than the train and a darn sight faster!

hmm… lets see, a 1 hour plane flight or 6-7 hours train… which would you prefer?

I’m all excited now!

All of this is not doing much good to my supposed saving for university though… Purse strings will be tight for a few months, but worth it.

Although, when we are going is quite early so there will be lots of buy one get one free and cut price show tickets (we have the festival guide on pre-order already!)

Oh how I pity you, my readers. I am going to be SO unbearable between now and August.

A True Showgirl

Apr2012:53 am

*Knackered*

I am not long back from seeing Kylie at the NEC and I am absolutly knackered!

It was a fantastic show, I have never sang so loud in my life (due to being as tone deaf as a stone). She was on stage for well over 2 hours and it was worth every penny… which was only actually £38…

FANTASTIC!

I want to go again!

I have been asked to review this for a site that I used to frequent a lot *naming no names* So if i do, and probably will, if its any good, which it probably wont be I will share a link with you.

If you know me and know the site I am talking about, if its crapand i dont share you can always gohave a laugh anyway :)

Im off to bed!

Don’t Mention On Pain Of Crying

Apr711:32 pm

OK, I need you all to help me. If after this post you see me post anything else about Edinburgh or the festival or get wind that I have been obsessing over the festival web site or spending too much time obsessing over Richard Herring then I want you to take my pooter of me and lock me in my room until the end of August.

It looks extremly unlikly that I will be going. Anywhere actually, I will be completly holiday less this year…grrrrr!

Oh well, only 6 months until I start uni… Its not that long… #twitches#
