OK, I promised to update you all with my progress on my diet/exercise thing. And yes, i do know it has gone 2 in the morning, I was meant to go to bed/do this ages ago but somehow got into a water fight with my flatmates boyfriend.
Anyway, its going well, very well. I am not sure how much I have lost as I haven’t really been keeping track, I know roughly but I’m not bothered about how fast I loose the weight I just want to loose it. I have been going to the gym, a lot and am loving it. Something I am loving more is swimming. I have always loved swimming and even though i am not at all fit I can do it for ages. I put my two flatmates to shame.
If I go to the gym first then I will do about 30-40 lengths in the pool – its only a 16 metre pool so that isn’t actually as much as it sounds, but good for after spending an hour in the gym. If I don’t go to the gym first I do around 80 lengths. All of this is without stopping by the way.
I like going swimming by myself as I get in, swim the **** out of the pool and get out. If I go with my flatmates (one especially) then I get distracted. I will still hit my target lengths for that day but it will take me longer. The other flatmate is quite good though. although she won’t swim as long as I do she tends to do 20 lengths, goes in the spa and then comes back and does another 10 or so, by this time I have usually hit my target and we both go off to the spa, steam room and sauna to wind down…. This really is student life… bliss!
I want to keep track of how far I am swimming and my times in the gym. I found a really useful website with equations to work out how many calories you burn doing various activities depending on your weight. I bookmarked the site on my flatmates computer as that’s where we were doing the working out so will get the address and work everything out. Although the machines in the gym are good and count for you. So in the next day or so the tracker will reappear in the sidebar. The information on it will start from Thursday just gone as this was the first time I weighed myself and will do now every Thursday to help keep track.
I was horrified to realise after eating a Double Decker (yes, naughty me) that it would take me around 20-25 minutes on the treadmill walking up a very steep incline to burn it off. Needless to say this REALLY put me off chocolate, so no one buy me anything chocolate based for Christmas please.

Yes yes, I know I have been shockingly bad at keeping you all up to date. Hey, its me you should be used to it by now.
I am really going to try and update here over the weekend. The diet/exercise is going good. I am becoming known in the gym as the girl who doesn’t stop swimming… OK, I did 70 lengths today only stopping to brush my hair out of my face so I guess they have a point.
Still got loads of work to do…boo! 2 weeks till Christmas hols! YEY!

So, as I mentioned in my come back post I have decided that enough is enough and it is about time I got my head out of my arse and done something about the thing that I hate most about myself, yes I am getting a boob job my weight. And this time I am serious! How do I know that? Because I have done something I never thought I would do, I have joined a gym. And before you say it, yes I am going to the gym. I have been registered at the gym for just over two weeks now and have only had 3 days off from not going. Which I think is pretty good going. I am not worried about the novelty wearing off. For a start its not like I have far to go to get to the gym, its in the halls that I live in and it literally takes me 2 minutes to walk to. Plus I am enjoying it.
The gym also has a swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room… Student living has never been so good! I make use of all of these, there is nothing like knackering yourself out in the gym for an hour, then going to the pool and knackering yourself even more by doing 40-60 lengths and then relaxing in the spa. I am of course eating better too. Although I don’t really cut anything out I am eating ALOT less of some things. For example, I used to easily eat 3-4 packets of crisps a day; I now have 1-2 a week. I have virtually given up fizzy drinks (apart from the odd small bottle of diet cherry coke) and have taken up drinking what feels like 10 gallons of water a day.
The water drinking is actually a lot easier than I thought it would be but then this probably has something to do with the gym. I am exercising more so I am going to need more water. I used to think it would be really hard to drink 2 litres of water a day, but its not. And now I even find myself craving water when I don’t have any for a while. In the first week of doing the diet and the gym I lost 6.5 lbs which I thought was pretty good going. Obviously I don’t expect to loose this much every week but it’s a good start. I will try and keep you all up to date with how I am doing and you may even see they return of the weight tracker in the sidebar.

Right, I knew something like this would happen.Â
Merly and *pixie* both correctly solved the little competition thing I have going.
I was first alerted to a post by looking on here to see I had received another comment which was pixies. It was correct … yey i have a winner!… or so I thought…
I then went to Gmail and found out there was a comment wanting approval from Merly that was posted around 20 minutes before pixies (I was lost in the land of Sims 2 at the time so didn’t realise I had a comment to approve)
So congrats Merly, it looks as though you are my winner.
Just to make sure this is all above board – I don’t want to be accused of anything naughty, below are some links to screen shots of the email I received:

I will be in contact with Merly soon to arrange the prize deliverance once I figure out what he is getting. I will also try (I can’t promise, I am a poor student afterall) to get Pixie a runner up prize cos she did guess correctly too!

OK, becuase you are all poor poor guessers I am giving you a clue for my little mini competition that I have going on in this post.
The clue is:
I K— (3 letters)Â T—–(5) T-(1) L—-(3) W—–(5) B–(2) I-(1) K—-(4) F——(6) M-(1)
(I realised after I posted this that it just comes out as a solid line rather than individual lines, the numbers in brackets are for the letters that STILL need to be found)
And obviously it is related to the point of the category which is explained in the previous post.

I have decided to do away with the weight loss blog that I was going to do and just incorporate it on here. There isn’t really much point in me having a whole blog for it, as so far I have only posted on it once and what I do want to say might as well just have its own category on here.
What’s the name of this category?
IKTTLWBIKFM
Its an acronym and if anyone can guess what it stands for (or the closest guess) will receive a prize. Don’t ask me what prize, that will depend on who wins. You have…erm… until this time next week to get your answers in. And before you do, don’t bother trying to google it, I just did and nothing comes up – so tuff luck! *
Please put your answers on a comment and if I don’t already know how to get in contact with you then an email address so I can contact you if you are the lucky winner.
On a personal note relating to this subject can I say a quick thank you to Simon. I read the comment that you left before I deleted the blog and you wouldn’t know what good timing it was. I was just about ready to jack it in again (a combination of crappy day, bloody hot weather and annoying parents) but it made me realise why I was doing it.
Adam West as Batman beats all comers every time in my book.
Not at all, makes you completely normal.
Wow! Love it!
I don't even know what that is. Does that make me insane? .-
It looks fabulous!! Love it
